The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Leopoldo Mendes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Théodore Robillard to make any attempt to save it. After 7 played minutes Trem das Onze got a freekick which was hit by Julian Sidoro. Hernani Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Théodore Robillard made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Operario EC's Théodore Robillard threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antônio Carlos Toscano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Guto de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trem das Onze's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mons Dragon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute Conrado Basualdo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mons Dragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Trem das Onze's Théodore Robillard got control of the ball when Hernani Marquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 26 played minutes Trem das Onze got a freekick which was hit by Guto de Castro. Théodore Robillard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles Silva in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Théodore Robillard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Hernani Marquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Théodore Robillard was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Conrado Basualdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Mons Dragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Leopoldo Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Operario EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Trem das Onze's Théodore Robillard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Marquez in the 82nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Trem das Onze defense, Hernani Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Théodore Robillard. The Trem das Onze fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Théodore Robillard should have stopped the shot. If Hernani Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Vinícius Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Operario EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
