Zé Paulo Torres came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Os Pamin Fc's 顾挺镇. But to his dismay, 顾挺镇 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's Zé Paulo Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Carvoeiro FC from getting a goal against them. Rodriguinho Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 顾挺镇 who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Zé Paulo Torres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 24th minute, 顾挺镇 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when 顾挺镇 came free, but Zé Paulo Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 2-0 when 顾挺镇 sped through Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Torres. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 顾挺镇 couldn't finish the play.

Os Pamin Fc's Clóvis Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee ignored Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's protests and gave Doriva Lago a yellow card for diving instead. Os Pamin Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Grêmio Carvoeiro FC defense, 顾挺镇 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Torres. The Grêmio Carvoeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Paulo Torres should have stopped the shot. If Clóvis Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Belmiro Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by 顾挺镇 in the 96th minute of play forced Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Os Pamin Fc walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
