Caetite FC's Zé Roberto das Neves managed to work through Caneleiros da Várzea's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Raimundo Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Caneleiros da Várzea's Rony Madureira got a free kick in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Roberto das Neves in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Falcão saved Caneleiros da Várzea from getting behind. The supporters of Caetite FC booed when Caneleiros da Várzea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Flávio Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baturhan Eroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caneleiros da Várzea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dráuzio Silveira in the 30th minute. Dráuzio Silveira made a great header on Caneleiros da Várzea's corner, it was just that Caetite FC's Baturhan Eroğlu managed to reach the ball for a save. Gilvan Furlan hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Baturhan Eroğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dráuzio Silveira in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute Zé Roberto das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caneleiros da Várzea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Roberto das Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Flávio Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Baturhan Eroğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Caetite FC's zone, Rony Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baturhan Eroğlu came out of the goal and Rony Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Atay Arpacıoğlu in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Roberto das Neves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raimundo Falcão came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Roberto das Neves slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 53rd minute. 59 minutes into the game, Atay Arpacıoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Raimundo Falcão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 64 played minutes Caetite FC got a freekick which was hit by Atay Arpacıoğlu. A collision led to Caetite FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gino Vianna hit a great ball. Bernardo de Lima hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Caetite FC's Baturhan Eroğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Madureira in the 81st minute of play. If Zé Roberto das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maria da Silva lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 95th minute of the game, Caetite FC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Caetite FC played a much better game than Caneleiros da Várzea and deserved their victory. The Caneleiros da Várzea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
