But to his dismay, Valentim Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16th minute Décio Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamer Kutcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Lucca F.C defense, Valentim Leão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcisio Mattos. The Lucca F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Mattos should have stopped the shot. Xavi Hernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Tamer Kutcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nildo Passos in the 25th minute of play. Tarcisio Mattos came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by BAAS FC's Valentim Leão. But to his dismay, Valentim Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 30th minute Valentim Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentim Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tarcisio Mattos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentim Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. Tarcisio Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentim Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 40th minute, Valentim Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tarcisio Mattos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucca F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentim Leão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. BAAS FC's Xavi Hernandez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Juninho Pena in the 57 minute of the game. After 97 played minutes BAAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Abreu. BAAS FC played a much better game than Lucca F.C and deserved their victory. The Lucca F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
