Raimundo Falcão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anísio Matorin in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd play minute Anísio Matorin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Raimundo Falcão. 3-0. 27 minutes into the match, Caneleiros da Várzea's goalkeeper Raimundo Falcão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anísio Matorin. In the 41st minute Bernardo de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fabiano Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Mauro Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Bueno in the 55th minute of play forced C.R. Vallongo's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Cruz having to interfere. With a little luck, C.R. Vallongo's Luiz Fabiano Cruz got control of the ball when Bernardo de Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute, one of Caneleiros da Várzea:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caneleiros da Várzea. Raimundo Falcão went to the wrong direction when Anísio Matorin was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The supporters of C.R. Vallongo booed when Caneleiros da Várzea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wilton de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the C.R. Vallongo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilton de Lima couldn't finish the play. Anísio Matorin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute C.R. Vallongo were awarded a corner. Anísio Matorin went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Mauro Dionísio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caneleiros da Várzea's goalkeeper Raimundo Falcão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anísio Matorin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Anísio Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.R. Vallongo's supporters rose to their feet, but Anísio Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Falcão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Fabiano Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 94 played minutes C.R. Vallongo got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Ramos. Wilton de Lima took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Falcão. Raimundo Falcão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. C.R. Vallongo had played much better football throughout.
