Jacinto Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Falcão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute, Cacá Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Raimundo Falcão. Caneleiros da Várzea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Raimundo Falcão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Perez's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Perez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Falcão was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Caneleiros da Várzea's zone, Edson da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Fonseca in the 36th minute of the match. Edson da Fonseca didn't quite understand what happened when in the 40 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Fausto Mangueira charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Mangueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fausto Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Fausto Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Jacinto Perez put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Raimundo Falcão. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Flávio Bueno made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Juvenal Custódio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caneleiros da Várzea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FairPlay FC the free kick. With his leg Raimundo Falcão managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when FairPlay FC's Jacinto Perez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 59 minutes, Flávio Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caneleiros da Várzea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flávio Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, FairPlay FC's Jacinto Perez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Rony Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rony Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Rony Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edson da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caneleiros da Várzea's Raimundo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Perez in the 73rd minute of play. When Dráuzio Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caneleiros da Várzea's protests and gave Dráuzio Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caneleiros da Várzea getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dráuzio Silveira hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Caneleiros da Várzea's goalkeeper Raimundo Falcão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Perez. After 90 played minutes FairPlay FC got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Sabóia. Cacá Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caneleiros da Várzea were furious when Juvenal Custódio was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caneleiros da Várzea fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Jeremias Oliveira hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. FairPlay FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
