After having played for 3 minutes, Afonso Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MONTANHA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Wei Guang Xing put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Raimundo Falcão. In the 9th minute, Rony Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Caneleiros da Várzea booed when MONTANHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20th play minutes Wei Guang Xing shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Raimundo Falcão and just under the crossbar into goal. 22 minutes into the game, MONTANHA's Afonso Cardozo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Falcão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wei Guang Xing in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Falcão saved Caneleiros da Várzea from getting behind. After 27 minutes Caneleiros da Várzea's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Afonso Cardozo who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Wei Guang Xing heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Czeslaw Walec scored 0-6 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Falcão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juvenal Custódio charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juvenal Custódio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juvenal Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Wei Guang Xing made a precise shot to the right of Raimundo Falcão. Caneleiros da Várzea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Fausto Mangueira's late challenge caught a MONTANHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MONTANHA booed when Caneleiros da Várzea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 minutes of play, MONTANHA's Wei Guang Xing made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Falcão was left in no man's land by his defense there! 48 minutes into the match, Afonso Cardozo notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of Caneleiros da Várzea's Raimundo Falcão. Raimundo Falcão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Caneleiros da Várzea players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MONTANHA were winning 0-11.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wei Guang Xing to strike the kick off in the second half. Afonso Cardozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. MONTANHA's Wei Guang Xing got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raimundo Falcão was a little too slow when Afonso Cardozo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-12. After some careless play in the Caneleiros da Várzea defense, Wei Guang Xing kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raimundo Falcão. The Caneleiros da Várzea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raimundo Falcão should have stopped the shot. After 62 minutes of play Caneleiros da Várzea's Juvenal Custódio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 64 played minutes, MONTANHA's Afonso Cardozo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raimundo Falcão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MONTANHA reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Cardozo got free with Raimundo Falcão in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute MONTANHA were awarded a corner. Afonso Cardozo went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Benedito Trancoso heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Raimundo Falcão stood somewhat misplaced when Wei Guang Xing came free in front of goal and shot 0-14 to the left of him in the 70 minute. 73 minutes into the match, Wei Guang Xing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo Falcão. Caneleiros da Várzea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wei Guang Xing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-15. Gonçalo Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Bernardo de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80thth minute of the game Wei Guang Xing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caneleiros da Várzea's Raimundo Falcão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Caneleiros da Várzea's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Afonso Cardozo 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-17. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wei Guang Xing in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilton Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Teodoro Peres came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the MONTANHA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Peres couldn't finish the play. Rony Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
