The Mosqueteiros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelinho Rocha should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute Fred de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Michel Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mosqueteiros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Marcelinho Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Pombal in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Michel Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eguen Armesto. Cruzeiro RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Cruzeiro RS made a substitution. João Augusto Vides replaced Tiago Esteves. Rodriguinho Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match.
