The coaching staff of Schmidt Sport Club protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Décio de Castro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Schmidt Sport Club! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualter Sá to make the kick off. Schmidt Sport Club made a substitution. Konrāds Seskus replaced Gualter Sá. Oséias Falcão's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dorival Galvão firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Oséias Falcão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dorival Galvão. That made the score 2-2 in the 58 minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Everest Futebol Clube's Oséias Falcão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dorival Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Oséias Falcãos short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Dorival Galvão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Konrāds Seskus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, Everest Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Simão came free, but Jeferson Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Everest Futebol Clube defense, Gilberto Bezerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeferson Fontes. The Everest Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeferson Fontes should have stopped the shot. Everest Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Schmidt Sport Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cláudio Botelho took the corner. Ivo Valle made a great header on Everest Futebol Clube's corner, it was just that Schmidt Sport Club's Dorival Galvão managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Everest Futebol Clube's Oséias Falcão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dorival Galvão. That made the score 3-4 after 87 minutes of play. When Guga Zonta fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schmidt Sport Club's protests and gave Guga Zonta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Everest Futebol Clube booed when Schmidt Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséias Falcão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murillo Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jeferson Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Although Schmidt Sport Club had been in control for most of the match, Everest Futebol Clube still came away with the win.
