Antônio Aguiar scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cléber Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio Aguiar in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cléber Maciel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira got control of the ball when Baltazar Netto tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Antônio Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederico Ferraz charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frederico Ferraz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tanabi.E.C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Frederico Ferraz hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Aguiar in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléber Maciel saved Tanabi.E.C. from getting behind. Cléber Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Baltazar Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th match minute, Tanabi.E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Jurdan to maneuver through the defense. Zé Vieira made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Baltazar Netto sent off a good shot on target. Baltazar Netto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Zé Vieira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tostão Mazza tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Cléber Maciel. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 42nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Aguiar in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléber Maciel saved Tanabi.E.C. from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antônio Aguiar to make the kick off. Antônio Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléber Maciel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Netto in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Inazuma Japan booed when Tanabi.E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baltazar Netto's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Inazuma Japan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kryspin Sniegowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Tanabi.E.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Erivaldo Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. With his leg Cléber Maciel managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Inazuma Japan's Adilson Ramalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tanabi.E.C.'s Baltazar Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gartxot Villacorta in the 93rd minute of the match. Tanabi.E.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kryspin Sniegowski in the 95th minute. Chants of Inazuma Japan echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Tanabi.E.C. had held the ball for most of the match.
