Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 余永川 ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute 余永川 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luiz Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 余永川 in the 14th minute of the match. 余永川 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwidon Cwojdak during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20thth minute of the game 余永川 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acad Fanática por Futebol's Pedro Luiz Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Acad Fanática por Futebol's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luiz Sergipano. Acad Fanática por Futebol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Pedro Luiz Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 余永川 in the 28th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luiz Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Cwojdak, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Gerardo Ibar in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Acad Fanática por Futebol's Lewis Bettinson. 36 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Acad Fanática por Futebol booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Ibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Gwidon Cwojdak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwidon Cwojdak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Acad Fanática por Futebol's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when 余永川 scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Luiz Sergipano, making the score, 0-3. 63 minutes into the match, Acad Fanática por Futebol's goal looked a bit too open when 余永川 came free, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's 余永川 dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Acad Fanática por Futebol's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 余永川's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but 余永川 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Luiz Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 余永川, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 余永川 took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luiz Sergipano. Pedro Luiz Sergipano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
