Raí Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hulk Håland in the 8th minute of play. Raí Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hulk Håland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cido Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gürsel Saltukalp's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes Palmeiras de Plantão's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Percy Senna who took care of the corner kick. 20 minutes into the match, Gürsel Saltukalp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cido Meireles. Palmeiras de Plantão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gürsel Saltukalp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 22nd minute Zézinho Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute Helge Almkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard de Lima's late challenge caught a GAÚCHO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gürsel Saltukalp's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cido Meireles firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Cido Meireles managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when GAÚCHO FC's Gürsel Saltukalp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Palmeiras de Plantão's Haroldo Fonseca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raí Seco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gürsel Saltukalp came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cido Meireles could save by the left post. Palmeiras de Plantão made a substitution. Aureliusz Bykowski replaced Fernandinho de Moraes. When Palmeiras de Plantão's Zézinho Paraíba in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Raí Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Paraíba in the 72nd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, GAÚCHO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hulk Håland came free, but Raí Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Palmeiras de Plantão getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Catana Dinha hit a great ball. Palmeiras de Plantão's Donato Pinho was substituted for Enio Goiano. After 78 played minutes Palmeiras de Plantão got a freekick which was hit by Catana Dinha. Cido Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adalberto Tepedino hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Helge Almkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Palmeiras de Plantão's Cido Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Lorden in the 88th minute of play. Cido Meireles was a little too slow when Gürsel Saltukalp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Paraíba in the 95th minute of play forced GAÚCHO FC's goalkeeper Raí Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
