The GAÚCHO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The supporters of PIRATAS TFP booed when GAÚCHO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. GAÚCHO FC's Raí Seco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save GAÚCHO FC from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Vilhelm Lorden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto de Lara in the 35th minute of play forced GAÚCHO FC's goalkeeper Raí Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, GAÚCHO FC's Marcus Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antônio Borges narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Natanael Rocha's late challenge caught a GAÚCHO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Gürsel Saltukalp put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Antônio Borges. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto de Lara was the one to do the kick off. Raí Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto de Lara in the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, GAÚCHO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. PIRATAS TFP's Antônio Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Prata in the 78th minute of play. Antônio Borges came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by GAÚCHO FC's Marcus Prata. But to his dismay, Marcus Prata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Duda Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Marcus Prata fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Natanael Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. GAÚCHO FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
