A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Tiberiu Balint hit a great ball. In the 6th minute of the match Gernando Cardozo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eskil Vester skillfully saved the ball. Feliberto Tarin shot from long distance after 8 played minutes, a shot that Eskil Vester with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Fellipe Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Aguayo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. The October 04 fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when October 04's Emilio Cascajares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fellipe Valle hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, Diamond Crown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerônimo Correia to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of October 04 booed when Diamond Crown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, October 04's Emilio Cascajares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernardo Aguayo. Bernardo Aguayo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Diamond Crown FC's Christian do Nascimento got a free kick in the 38th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Fellipe Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. October 04's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fellipe Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilio Cascajares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Vítor Pinho was the one to do the kick off. Diamond Crown FC's Bernardo Aguayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Valle in the 56th minute of play. Bernardo Aguayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Cascajares, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute Costin Verzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Emilio Cascajares notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Diamond Crown FC's Bernardo Aguayo. Bernardo Aguayo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. October 04's Luís Paulo Pernambucano was substituted for Aníbal Correia. October 04 made a substitution. Luís Fabiano Gaspar replaced Andrey Nazarov. Bernardo Aguayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harvey Elliott in the 81st minute of the match. Bernardo Aguayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harvey Elliott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Aguayo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Paulo Pernambucano went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 98th minute October 04 were awarded a corner. Fellipe Valle went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Diamond Crown FC's goalie and right to Luís Paulo Pernambucano. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Diamond Crown FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. There was no doubt that October 04 were the better team. October 04's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
