Raimundo Couto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, ✪ XV de Umarizal's Lionel 梅西 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lionel 梅西 might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lionel 梅西 ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the match, Lionel 梅西 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo Couto. OLIMPIA SP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lionel 梅西 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 28thth minute of the game Lionel 梅西 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but OLIMPIA SP's Raimundo Couto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 31 minutes of play, ✪ XV de Umarizal's Lionel 梅西 made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raimundo Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 35th minute, Valdomiro Ribeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ✪ XV de Umarizal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 39 minutes into the match, Lionel 梅西 notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of OLIMPIA SP's Raimundo Couto. Raimundo Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the OLIMPIA SP defense, Lionel 梅西 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raimundo Couto. The OLIMPIA SP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raimundo Couto should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute Lauro Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Bulnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 played minutes Lionel 梅西 rounded OLIMPIA SP's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. Raimundo Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel 梅西 in the 58th minute of play. Inácio Moraes hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. OLIMPIA SP made a substitution. OLIMPIA SP's Raimundo Couto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save OLIMPIA SP from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, OLIMPIA SP's goalkeeper Raimundo Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lionel 梅西. Raimundo Couto was a little too slow when Lionel 梅西 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-9. 67 minutes into the match, Lionel 梅西 notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of OLIMPIA SP's Raimundo Couto. Raimundo Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raimundo Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabrício Jardel's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by OLIMPIA SP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valdomiro Ribeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time ✪ XV de Umarizal's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Joel Rosado advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-11 in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute ✪ XV de Umarizal were awarded a corner. Valdomiro Ribeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of OLIMPIA SP's goalie and right to Luiz Fabiano Amorim. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. OLIMPIA SP's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Valdomiro Ribeiro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-12 in the 79th playminute. 83 minutes into the match, Fabrício Jardel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Raimundo Couto, 0-13. OLIMPIA SP's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Fabrício Jardel scored to the left of an out of position Raimundo Couto, making the score, 0-15. Fabrício Jardel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raimundo Couto came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabrício Jardel slotted it home off the left post making it 0-16 in the 96th minute. ✪ XV de Umarizal's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
