Spectators: 8035 (Terracing: 6027, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 160) Alexandre Amaral started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Raimundo Couto came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale. But to his dismay, Wilton Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th match minute, OLIMPIA SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Pereira to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Wilton Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TAQUARI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Raimundo Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilton Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilton Vale took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Couto. Raimundo Couto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Rodolfo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Quadros in the 26th minute of play. Wilton Vale took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Couto. Raimundo Couto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After having played for 32 minutes, Wilton Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TAQUARI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Wilton Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Wilton Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Couto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 42nd minute, Wilton Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Couto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. OLIMPIA SP's Raimundo Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Vale in the 45th minute of play. After the first half TAQUARI FC were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilton Vale made a kick off. Carlos Fernando Pereira made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by TAQUARI FC's Frank Lampard. 53 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 58 minutes, Wilton Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TAQUARI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilton Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raimundo Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Vale in the 59th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, TAQUARI FC's Ernani Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. In the 70th minute, Ernani Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, OLIMPIA SP's Raimundo Couto got control of the ball when Wilton Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute, Erasmo Gaspar made a precise shot to the right of Raimundo Couto. OLIMPIA SP's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. In the 83rd minute Andrézinho Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by TAQUARI FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexandre Amaral was slow to take the kick. During this time OLIMPIA SP's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 89 minutes, Wilton Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TAQUARI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in OLIMPIA SP's zone, Wilton Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Couto came out of the goal and Wilton Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 95 in the game by Wilton Vale from a close distance when the talented Raimundo Couto managed to make a qualified save. OLIMPIA SP's players were relieved.
