Spectators: 8067 (Terracing: 6052, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilton Vale started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Cascajares in the 3rd minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Emilio Cascajares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. TAQUARI FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernard Letourneau in the 9th minute. The corner led to TAQUARI FC's Ernani Souto getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Emilio Cascajares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Emilio Cascajares struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Rodolfo Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for October 04. 16 minutes into the match, Wilton Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eskil Vester. October 04's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilton Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Vale came free, but Eskil Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilton Vale in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eskil Vester saved October 04 from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilton Vale in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eskil Vester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Wilton Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. TAQUARI FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eskil Vester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes of play, TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eskil Vester was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute Wilton Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes TAQUARI FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Souto. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Cascajares made a kick off. The corner ended in Fellipe Valle almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado did a great save. Eskil Vester came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale. But to his dismay, Wilton Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Rodolfo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Cascajares, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Eskil Vester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of TAQUARI FC booed when October 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dariusz Rogoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Emilio Cascajares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. October 04's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TAQUARI FC the free kick. Emilio Cascajares kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Erasmo Gaspar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eskil Vester was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The TAQUARI FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TAQUARI FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
