The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlinhos Branco got free with Didi Tróia in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlinhos Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Didi Tróia made a huge save. In the 18th minute, Pedro Luís Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Intendencia AD getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Aníbal Custódio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Intendencia AD's zone, Pedro Luís Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleiton Terra came out of the goal and Pedro Luís Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Tróia having to interfere. After 44th play minutes Pedro Luís Batista shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Cleiton Terra and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half ContraVersão were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto de Mendonça got free with Cleiton Terra in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Intendencia AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Elias Batista scored to the left of an out of position Cleiton Terra, making the score, 0-3. In the 61st minute, Patrick Salkvist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Intendencia AD's Cleiton Terra didn't even have to move. The audience was convinced that Pedro Luís Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleiton Terra was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Intendencia AD's goalkeeper Cleiton Terra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elias Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Intendencia AD's Cleiton Terra got control of the ball when Fausto de Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Aníbal Custódio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
