A well-hit corner resulted in Nando Cearense heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Castro in the 8th minute of play forced A.D Leônico's goalkeeper André Luiz de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luiz de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. André Luiz de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
