Dino Aguiar lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Manuel Batista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erling Franks in the 12th minute. The supporters of 20 DE SETEMBRO booed when Pirapo Dinamarca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the game, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Erling Franks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Batista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Erling Franks scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Batista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Pirapo Dinamarca's zone, Donny Verweijen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Batista came out of the goal and Donny Verweijen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erivaldo Antunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Batista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Pirapo Dinamarca defense, Donny Verweijen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Batista. The Pirapo Dinamarca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Batista should have stopped the shot. Manuel Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erling Franks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes Pirapo Dinamarca got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Loyola. 38 minutes into the game, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Erling Franks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Batista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 43 minutes into the game, Erling Franks recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Batista. Erling Franks showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Luís Loyola was the one to do the kick off. Donny Verweijen took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Batista. Manuel Batista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. 54 minutes into the match, Erling Franks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Batista. Pirapo Dinamarca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erling Franks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Erling Franks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Batista having to interfere. Pirapo Dinamarca's Manuel Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Franks in the 60th minute of play. After 65 minutes, Erling Franks made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pirapo Dinamarca's Manuel Batista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Franks in the 68th minute of play forced Pirapo Dinamarca's goalkeeper Manuel Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The 20 DE SETEMBRO fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when 20 DE SETEMBRO's Erling Franks looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 12-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Pirapo Dinamarca's zone, Donny Verweijen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Batista came out of the goal and Donny Verweijen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the game, Erling Franks cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Manuel Batista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirapo Dinamarca's goalkeeper Manuel Batista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Donny Verweijen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Batista having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Nando Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirapo Dinamarca and the 20 DE SETEMBRO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Nando Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erling Franks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Batista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Erling Franks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Manuel Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Pirapo Dinamarca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Franks in the 97th minute of play forced Pirapo Dinamarca's goalkeeper Manuel Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that 20 DE SETEMBRO were the better team. 20 DE SETEMBRO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
