A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save A.D Leônico from getting a goal against them. Xu Li Sang received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. André Luiz de Barros came out and tried to block the shot, but Xu Li Sang slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Manoel Neuer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vatan Kambay in the 20th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vatan Kambay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manoel Neuer was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th minute Andriy Shevchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC's Manoel Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andriy Shevchenko in the 34th minute of play. When Andriy Shevchenko came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the A.D Leônico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andriy Shevchenko couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Mendes in the 41st minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Manoel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros got control of the ball when Xu Li Sang tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xu Li Sang got free with André Luiz de Barros in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xu Li Sang was the one to do the kick off. Manoel Neuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andriy Shevchenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A.D Leônico's Alfredo Catarinense was substituted for Vatan Kambay. In the 81st match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Manoel Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andriy Shevchenko in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, A.D Leônico's Andriy Shevchenko dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. André Luiz de Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco van Basten went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 94thth minute of the game Marco van Basten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jovens Democratas MZC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dobromir Zagrodny in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
