When Pedrão Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Landulfos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrão Pereira couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Andriy Shevchenko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flávio de Azevedo. That made the score 1-1 in the 10 minute of play. André Luiz de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Vatan Kambay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute of the match Landulfos FC got a corner. A.D Leônico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dedê Fonseca ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dedê Fonseca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this André Luiz de Barros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 22 minutes Landulfos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andriy Shevchenko who took care of the corner kick. Nando Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Flávio de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andriy Shevchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Landulfos FC's Matheus Vaz was substituted for Dedê Fonseca. After 53 minutes Landulfos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andriy Shevchenko who took care of the corner kick. After 90 played minutes, A.D Leônico's Andriy Shevchenko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flávio de Azevedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.D Leônico reached it. A well-hit corner resulted in Frederico Donato heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When A.D Leônico's Alfredo Catarinense in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
