Joseph Kellbom hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Gedeon Káposztás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarbas Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Papão de WC from getting a goal against them. Xurupita FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christian Arósio in the 38th minute. The corner led Xurupita FC's Agnaldo de Senna to fire away a dangerous shot which Andréas Linquist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gedeon Káposztás in the 43rd minute of play forced Xurupita FC's goalkeeper Jarbas Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zygmunt Nakoneczny kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

A sloppy throw-in by Đỗ Dung in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Grêmio Papão de WC's Kléber Barral. Xurupita FC's Jarbas Pimenta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Xurupita FC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grêmio Papão de WC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
