The crowd rose to their feet as Austra 04 VFC's Wellington Pires slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinho Azevedo. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. Claudinho Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Falcão Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Cambotinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Pires came free, but Claudinho Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wellington Pires to make the kick off. In the 60th minute, Yan Santana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hudson Gaúcho was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beila Mora in the 63rd minute of play forced Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Claudinho Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Austra 04 VFC's Hudson Gaúcho got control of the ball when Doğaner Doğu tried to sneak it across the goal line.
