Barões F. C.'s Júlio Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Pedron in the 6th minute of play. If Luiz Fábio Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Paraibano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diguinho Carioca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Donato Paraibano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diguinho Carioca. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Júlio Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Barões F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Charles Capixaba came free, but Júlio Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Capixaba spun around in front of the goal 25 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Barões F. C.'s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nixon Richard in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diguinho Carioca saved C o n f i a n ç a - SE from getting behind. Barões F. C.'s Júlio Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Pedron in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to C o n f i a n ç a - SE getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Arthur Barbosa hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
