After a defensive mix-up in Sport Clube Recife's zone, Leopoldo Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Fernandez came out of the goal and Leopoldo Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dal 3ello's Acácio Magalhães was substituted for Leopoldo Loureiro.

Dal 3ello's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gualter Penha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Percy Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Magalhães in the 94th minute of the match.
