Arlindo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Lucas in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Paulo Bueno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute Murilo Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Paulista in the 26th minute of play forced Queluzito's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the match, Queluzito's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Bueno came free, but Pedro Paulo Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antônio Carlos Bueno to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Queluzito's Xie Yan Yang seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Xie Yan Yang the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Queluzito protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Xie Yan Yang had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 51 minutes into the game, one of Queluzito:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Queluzito:s Pedro Paulo Bueno showed great skill when he stopped Dennis Contaldi:s penalty. Dennis Contaldi scored 4-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Paulo Bueno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Otávio Rezende during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 98 minutes into the game, when Nestor Hermes put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 97th minute of the game. One of AF CERRADO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Queluzito:s goal. AF CERRADO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
