The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Margus Niilus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Chorche in the 7th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Varadouro F. C.'s goalkeeper Silvestre Oro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulises Manuelo. The supporters of Varadouro F. C. booed when FUTEBOL ARTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Vítor Peixoto fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Silvestre Oro. Margus Niilus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Nascimento in the 17th minute of play. Silvestre Oro made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ulises Manuelo sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Ulises Manuelo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvestre Oro. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Oséias Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varadouro F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. FUTEBOL ARTE's Ulises Manuelo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Varadouro F. C.'s Silvestre Oro got control of the ball when Ulises Manuelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. FUTEBOL ARTE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by César Luz in the 43rd minute. FUTEBOL ARTE's César Luz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silvestre Oro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Margus Niilus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Chorche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oséias Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FUTEBOL ARTE's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Chorche came free, but Margus Niilus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match, Oséias Nascimento got a very nice opportunity to score, but Margus Niilus was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Silvestre Oro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Peixoto in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of FUTEBOL ARTE booed when Varadouro F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. He Yao Jing didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Varadouro F. C.'s zone, Ulises Manuelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Oro came out of the goal and Ulises Manuelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Margus Niilus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséias Nascimento in the 65th minute. Silvestre Oro came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by FUTEBOL ARTE's Ulises Manuelo. But to his dismay, Ulises Manuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 70th match minute, FUTEBOL ARTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, FUTEBOL ARTE's goalkeeper Margus Niilus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oséias Nascimento. Primitivo Chorche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Margus Niilus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oséias Nascimento's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Margus Niilus skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Margus Niilus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Luz's late challenge caught a Varadouro F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. César Luz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Varadouro F. C. booed when FUTEBOL ARTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. FUTEBOL ARTE were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Varadouro F. C. for a fine match.
