Silvestre Oro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oséias Nascimento. Primitivo Chorche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arlindo Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save AF CERRADO from getting a goal against them. Oséias Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, He Yao Jing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Guedes. AF CERRADO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that He Yao Jing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 39th minute Primitivo Chorche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes, Carlos Alberto Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the Varadouro F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Alberto Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when He Yao Jing came free, but Arlindo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Lucas in the 46th minute of play forced Varadouro F. C.'s goalkeeper Silvestre Oro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oséias Nascimento made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Antônio Carlos Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by He Yao Jing in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Varadouro F. C.'s goalkeeper Silvestre Oro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno. C.:s Silvestre Oro showed great skill when he stopped Antônio Carlos Bueno:s penalty. Varadouro F. C.'s Silvestre Oro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Damião in the 74th minute of play. Murilo Lucas came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Silvestre Oro could save by the left post. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Varadouro F. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antônio Carlos Bueno was slow to take the kick. During this time AF CERRADO's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Antônio Carlos Bueno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Varadouro F. C.'s Silvestre Oro did a great save. José Couto tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Silvestre Oro. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-3 in the 80th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Silvestre Oro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 88th minute of the match AF CERRADO got a corner. Varadouro F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antônio Carlos Bueno ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Toninho Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Róbson Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Oro having to interfere.
