In the 8thth minute of the game Diguinho Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC - Curitiba's Duarte Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matouš Carda in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, Danone CC's Maurício Rodrigues made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duarte Mendes was left in no man's land by his defense there! AFC - Curitiba's Duarte Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Senna in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Teles in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte Mendes saved AFC - Curitiba from getting behind. Duarte Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Velloso in the 24th minute of play. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matouš Carda in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Carlos Alberto Sá hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Danone CC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Miranda to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 28 minutes, Ferdinand Aanuţei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC - Curitiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinand Aanuţei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moisés Linhares made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AFC - Curitiba's Hermínio Alvarenga. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duarte Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Moisés Linhares's late challenge caught a AFC - Curitiba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duarte Mendes came out of the goal and Maurício Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Gol in the 83rd minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Duarte Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Linhares. Duarte Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diguinho Teles in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute Ferdinand Aanuţei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Danone CC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
