An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Proença in the 10th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edu Proença came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the ARON FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edu Proença couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Proença in the 12th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Isaltino Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Albert Vulpe hit a great ball. If Sebastião Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21st play minutes Jeremias Velloso shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Luís Fabiano Vaz and just under the crossbar into goal. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Proença in the 25th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Isaltino Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Sebastião Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes Danone CC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jorginho Mattos who took care of the corner kick. Isaltino Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Xavier in the 37th minute of the match. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Pires in the 41st minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, ARON FC's Sebastião Xavier made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaltino Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute Sebastião Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Xavier in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Danone CC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Linhares to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Maurício Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Luís Fabiano Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Teles in the 55th minute of play. If Jeremias Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ARON FC's Manuel Bueno was substituted for Sebastião Xavier. After some careless play in the Danone CC defense, Manuel Bueno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaltino Couto. The Danone CC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaltino Couto should have stopped the shot. In the 81stth minute of the game Jeremias Velloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ARON FC's Luís Fabiano Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Danone CC's Marquinhos Miranda got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Danone CC's Oséas Chaves was substituted for Geovanni de Alcântara. The supporters of ARON FC booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. ARON FC's Luís Fabiano Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Teles in the 87th minute of play. Isaltino Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bobby Pires in the 90th minute. Luís Fabiano Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Danone CC's Isaltino Couto got control of the ball when Bobby Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ARON FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ARON FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
