With an all-out effort, MarquinhosEC's Weverton Pras threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harm de Freitas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Weverton Pras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Di Blasio in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson Loureiro in the 17th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MarquinhosEC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Inácio Freitas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Weverton Pras was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leon Sport Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marco Tardelli was slow to take the kick. During this time MarquinhosEC's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Marco Tardelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Weverton Pras was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. In the 95th minute Marco Tardelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weverton Pras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MarquinhosEC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
