Vicente Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harm de Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Vicente Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harm de Freitas in the 9th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, PiuPiu's goal looked a bit too open when Harm de Freitas came free, but Vicente Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind PiuPiu's goalkeeper Vicente Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to PiuPiu getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ezequiel Soeiro hit a great ball. Matei Răducu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Brenon in the 26th minute of the match. Gísli Langnickel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Matei Răducu made a huge save. After a rather tough play, PiuPiu's Fernandão Zonta got a free kick in the 31st minute. 39 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Soeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matei Răducu. Ezequiel Soeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Matei Răducu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gísli Langnickel in the 42nd minute. PiuPiu's Vicente Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Di Blasio in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Vicente Linares made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Alessandro do Valle sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Di Blasio got free with Vicente Linares in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Waldemar Senna in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MarquinhosEC's Barrie Deacon. In the 57th minute of the game Emanuel Veloso made a throw-in which Qin Xu Jing played forward. Waldemar Senna hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. MarquinhosEC's Matei Răducu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Brenon in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qin Xu Jing in the 69th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrie Deacon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Vicente Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gísli Langnickel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Răducu having to interfere. In the 76th minute Inácio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MarquinhosEC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marco Tardelli in the 77th minute. The corner ended in Marco Tardelli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PiuPiu's Vicente Linares did a great save. With an all-out effort, MarquinhosEC's Vicente Linares threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Inácio Freitas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 81 minutes of play, MarquinhosEC's Inácio Freitas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inácio Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Linares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inácio Freitas ran back to his position shaking his head.
