In the 11th minute Cristiano Osmundsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baykan Turatekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maraponga FAC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nurkan Tümkut was slow to take the kick. During this time Star Red Brasil - DMZ's players had a chance to rest. Nurkan Tümkut made a great header on Star Red Brasil - DMZ's corner, it was just that Maraponga FAC's Mané Andrade managed to reach the ball for a save. Antônio Coutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Mané Andrade made a huge save. Baykan Turatekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Verlet in the 36th minute of the match. Christian Westerstrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Osmundsen in the 39th minute of play forced Star Red Brasil - DMZ's goalkeeper Baykan Turatekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Christian Westerstrand dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mané Andrade, 1-1. 47 minutes into the match, Star Red Brasil - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Xacintu Magadan came free, but Baykan Turatekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xacintu Magadan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Laerte Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Westerstrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavien Gally made a great header on Star Red Brasil - DMZ's corner, it was just that Maraponga FAC's Mané Andrade managed to reach the ball for a save. Baykan Turatekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Verlet in the 69th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Darren Verlet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baykan Turatekin. Star Red Brasil - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darren Verlet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 84 minutes into the game, Star Red Brasil - DMZ's Christian Westerstrand nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mané Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Mané Andrade came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Star Red Brasil - DMZ's Nico Cardozo. But to his dismay, Nico Cardozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Thanks to some nice moves Jimmy Lind could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Baykan Turatekin however easily saved by the left post. Many of Maraponga FAC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Maraponga FAC may have spent more time on the ball, but Star Red Brasil - DMZ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
