Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Cardoso in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genílson Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Igor Braga got a free kick in the 9th minute. A nice corner shot did that Kaká Senna got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Genílson Sousa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Gustavo Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lech Banan in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, AC Augustville's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Cardoso came free, but Genílson Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genílson Sousa came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Erasmo Cardoso. But to his dismay, Erasmo Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Genílson Sousa made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Leandro Trancoso sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute of the match ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ got a corner. AC Augustville's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kaká Senna ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Valério Santana to fire away a dangerous shot which Genílson Sousa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Genílson Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Cardoso in the 30th minute of play. The corner ended in Mauro Dante almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Gustavo Aparecido did a great save. Erasmo Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genílson Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes AC Augustville's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kaká Senna who took care of the corner kick. Romário Del Piero took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Aparecido. Gustavo Aparecido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 53rd minute of the game Vágner da Silveira made a throw-in which Duda Velloso played forward. A collision led to AC Augustville getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Vágner da Silveira hit a great ball. AC Augustville's Genílson Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Cardoso in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, AC Augustville's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Cardoso came free, but Genílson Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Aparecido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lech Banan's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Dante was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Augustville's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on AC Augustville's corner Mauro Dante fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustavo Aparecido quite easily take care of the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Augustville's goalkeeper Genílson Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Genílson Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Cardoso in the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goal looked a bit too open when Duda Velloso came free, but Gustavo Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Erasmo Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Genílson Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Genílson Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Genílson Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Augustville's Mateus Saraiva was substituted for Lech Banan. AC Augustville made a substitution. João Francisco do Nascimento replaced Noureddine Zaaf. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ made a substitution. Ronaldinho Gaucho replaced Sebastião Paes. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s attentive Valério Santana managed to snatch the ball when Romário Del Piero made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. Genílson Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Cardoso in the 84th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duda Velloso got free with Gustavo Aparecido in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Mateus Saraiva took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Gustavo Aparecido to make any attempt to save it. The ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AC Augustville were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
