Léo Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léo Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo da Fonseca in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10thth minute of the game Alexsandro Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Misericordia EC's Léo Leão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Aguiar in the 15th minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Léo Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Tinoco in the 16th minute of play forced Buritama Sports's goalkeeper Murilo Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Tinoco in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murilo Ferreira saved Buritama Sports from getting behind. Léo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Aguiar in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match, Alexsandro Aguiar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Léo Leão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Léo Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Alexsandro Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Misericordia EC's Léo Leão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murilo Ferreira came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Misericordia EC's Pedro Luís Amaral. But to his dismay, Pedro Luís Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Buritama Sports's Abelardo da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murilo Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Tinoco in the 40th minute of the match. Vito Senna's late challenge caught a Misericordia EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vito Senna helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Misericordia EC booed when Buritama Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buritama Sports's Ricardo Dias suffered a concussion in the 47th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Aníbal Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Buritama Sports made a substitution. Albertinho Vinhas replaced Ricardo Dias. In the 49th match minute, Misericordia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Goiano to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo da Fonseca made a kick off. The tension between the Buritama Sports and the Misericordia EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Ricardinho Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Léo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Aguiar in the 63rd minute of play. Buritama Sports's Murilo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Amaral in the 64th minute of play. Léo Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Buritama Sports's Murilo Ferreira got control of the ball when Jeremias Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Murilo Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Pedro Luís Amaral sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Aguiar in the 82nd minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Léo Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes of play, Buritama Sports's Alexsandro Aguiar made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Léo Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeremias Tinoco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Murilo Ferreira made a huge save. With a little luck, Buritama Sports's Murilo Ferreira got control of the ball when Jeremias Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Léo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Peixoto in the 97th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Misericordia EC's goalie and right to Albertinho Vinhas. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Misericordia EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
