Vicente Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Bellido in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, André Sundström made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Barbosa. Galo do Cerrado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 13th match minute, Romando Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Sundström to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Galo do Cerrado getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Benjamin Branco hit a great ball. When Alfredinho Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Cerrado's protests and gave Alfredinho Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 minutes of play, Romando Futebol Clube's Niva Bellido made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Niva Bellido scored 0-4 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Galo do Cerrado's Alfredinho Andrade got a free kick in the 24th minute. Vicente Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niva Bellido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute André Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clóvis Sena in the 35th minute. Carlos Alberto Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Angelito Di Maria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vicente Barbosa having to make a save. Angelito Di Maria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Niva Bellido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Barbosa. Galo do Cerrado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niva Bellido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Willian Porto hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clóvis Sena to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Niva Bellido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Barbosa was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 55th minute, Niva Bellido made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Barbosa. Galo do Cerrado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Haroldo Peixoto hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Vicente Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Bellido in the 62nd minute of the match. Vicente Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Vicente Barbosa stood somewhat misplaced when Juninho Paulista came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 63 minute. Vicente Barbosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niva Bellido went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. When Niva Bellido came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Romando Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niva Bellido couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Sundström in the 78th minute of play forced Galo do Cerrado's goalkeeper Vicente Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Romando Futebol Clube's Juninho Paulista dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. Niva Bellido scored 0-11 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juninho Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niva Bellido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Barbosa having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Galo do Cerrado's zone, Niva Bellido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Barbosa came out of the goal and Niva Bellido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
