Percy Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo da Fonseca in the 9th minute of play. Jan Sybring's late challenge caught a Buritama Sports's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Sybring helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Buritama Sports booed when Dinamo Bucarest FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Sybring didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Dinamo Bucarest FC's Gonçalo Dionísio got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Dinamo Bucarest FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. Percy Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Albertinho Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Rodrigues having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The Buritama Sports supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Buritama Sports would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
