After a rather tough play, Romando Futebol Clube's Abel Vargas got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Alexandro Teijeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A. RIBEIRÃO's Shi Yong Xiang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Valle in the 7th minute of play. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas was a little too slow when Oséas Gomes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Shi Yong Xiang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Sundström in the 21st minute of play. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Arce in the 23rd minute of the match. The C.A. RIBEIRÃO fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when C.A. RIBEIRÃO's Oséas Gomes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 30th minute Bruninho Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes in the game Elivélton Gerber did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bruninho Arce. In the 43rdth minute of the game Bruninho Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Romando Futebol Clube's Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of C.A. RIBEIRÃO booed when Romando Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Sundström to strike the kick off in the second half. Romando Futebol Clube's attentive Ubaldo Maillard managed to snatch the ball when Elivélton Gerber made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. After 60 played minutes Romando Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Paulista. Elivélton Gerber made in the 78th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bruninho Arce immediately put the ball in play. In the 85th minute, Romando Futebol Clube's André Sundström dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Sundström in the 92nd minute of play forced C.A. RIBEIRÃO's goalkeeper Shi Yong Xiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
