Despite this Jeremias Ribeiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jeremias Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Maciel in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Renascer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Donato Souza managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Burukster's Matheus Nascimento fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jeremias Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matheus Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Valle hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Luís Fábio Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute Gong Yi Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Edmundo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Guilherme Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edmundo Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renascer's protests and gave Edmundo Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Renascer defense, Ramón Wanchope kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Souza. The Renascer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Souza should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Maciel in the 37th minute of play forced Burukster's goalkeeper Jeremias Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Richard Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burukster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Renascer the free kick. After 40 played minutes Burukster got a freekick which was hit by Richard Valle. The audience was convinced that Horácio Maciel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Ribeiro was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Burukster's Jeremias Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Maciel in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horácio Maciel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Burukster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón Wanchope was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matheus Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 78thth minute of the game Horácio Maciel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burukster's Jeremias Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Matheus Nascimento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Donato Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donato Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Araújo in the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Horácio Maciel could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Jeremias Ribeiro however easily saved by the left post. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Ramón Wanchope sped through Renascer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donato Souza. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horácio Maciel got free with Jeremias Ribeiro in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee ended the match the Burukster players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
