In the 12th match minute, Burukster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Araújo to maneuver through the defense. When Luís Fábio Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Burukster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio Araújo couldn't finish the play. Jeremias Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Vertiplano FC's Iuri Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Vertiplano FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Prado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Ribeiro was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Vertiplano FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Matheus Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iuri Silva having to interfere. Iuri Silva made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Jorge Bitxintxo sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matheus Nascimento made a kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vertiplano FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arlindo Aguiar was slow to take the kick. During this time Burukster's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Arlindo Aguiar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iuri Silva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Burukster's Jeremias Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Burukster from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the match, Burukster's goalkeeper Jeremias Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmílson Montenegro. In the 60th minute of the match Vertiplano FC got a corner. Burukster's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Hudson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Iuri Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Nascimento in the 62nd minute of play. Burukster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arlindo Aguiar in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Dagoberto Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Vertiplano FC booed when Burukster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vertiplano FC made a substitution. Murilo Arantes replaced Marian Gârneț. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Alessandro Prado put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jeremias Ribeiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Nascimento in the 76th minute of play forced Vertiplano FC's goalkeeper Iuri Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Burukster's corner Arlindo Aguiar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iuri Silva quite easily take care of the ball. Jeremias Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Prado in the 80th minute. With a little luck, Burukster's Jeremias Ribeiro got control of the ball when Edmílson Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremias Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Hudson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Burukster's Beto Magalhães got a free kick in the 88th minute. Vertiplano FC's Chris Hudson got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
