Renascer's Donato Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Renascer from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- booed when Renascer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Renascer fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Renascer's Edmundo Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Donato Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Mandrak in the 13th minute. Renascer's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Gugu Mandrak scored to the left of an out of position Donato Souza, making the score, 1-1. A collision led to Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Carmelo Salantes hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match Luisão Favoretto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Przemyslaw Tscherner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Renascer's Donato Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Mandrak in the 24th minute of play. Przemyslaw Tscherner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Vaz in the 32nd minute of play forced Renascer's goalkeeper Donato Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Gugu Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Renascer got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Linhares. With an all-out effort, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Donato Souza threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gugu Mandrak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrey Kovtun in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Souza saved Renascer from getting behind. Renascer's Horácio Maciel managed to work through Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Horácio Maciel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Rômulo Abraão hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Renascer's goal looked a bit too open when Andrey Kovtun came free, but Donato Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 62 in the game by Edmundo Carvalho from a close distance when the talented Przemyslaw Tscherner managed to make a qualified save. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jano Marinho during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edmundo Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Donato Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Vaz in the 88th minute of the match. Gugu Mandrak took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Souza. Donato Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Renascer's Donato Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Mandrak in the 93rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Carvalho got free with Przemyslaw Tscherner in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Renascer for a fine match.
