Santiago Futebol Clube's Dan Cambridge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Santiago Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute Teo Roano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermes Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Dan Cambridge made a huge save. Nico Bueno scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diguinho Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute, Cauan Favoretto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diguinho Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cauan Favoretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diguinho Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cauan Favoretto ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teo Roano in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diguinho Vaz saved CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ from getting behind. In the 29th minute of the match Santiago Futebol Clube got a corner. CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrique Arósio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Enrique Arósio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Diguinho Vaz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ's Diguinho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan Favoretto in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Roano came free, but Diguinho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Cambridge made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Rômulo de Castro sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Cauan Favoretto put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Diguinho Vaz. Cauan Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Santiago Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Ramos. Roger Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Cambridge having to interfere. A collision led to Santiago Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Sidnei de Barros hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ's Olavo Vidal tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ's Diguinho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan Favoretto in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cauan Favoretto to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Favoretto in the 67th minute of play forced CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ's goalkeeper Diguinho Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Futebol Clube's Lorenzo Santa María was substituted for Cauan Favoretto. After taking down the ball on Santiago Futebol Clube's corner Sidnei de Barros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Diguinho Vaz quite easily take care of the ball. When Santiago Futebol Clube's Lorenzo Santa María in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Diguinho Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo Santa María's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. When CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ's Rômulo de Castro in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santiago Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Teo Roano scored 0-5 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diguinho Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lorenzo Santa María might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diguinho Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lorenzo Santa María ran back to his position shaking his head. 90 minutes into the game, Franco Daniel threw the ball into play from the sideline. Santiago Futebol Clube's Arlindo Ramos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 91 played minutes Santiago Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Teo Roano. Nico Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Diguinho Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco Daniel charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franco Daniel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th match minute, CRICIUMA TIGRAO FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Daniel to maneuver through the defense. The Santiago Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
