Augusto Demaria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tana Rede in the 10th minute of play. Alfredinho Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Dyczkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes of play, Tormenta EC's Magno Garcia made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredinho Cavalcante was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celso de Queirós hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Tana Rede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredinho Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Dyczkowski in the 22nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Beto França sped through Granadero10's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredinho Cavalcante. If Tana Rede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Granadero10 getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Dráuzio Santos hit a great ball. The supporters of Tormenta EC booed when Granadero10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Demaria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tana Rede in the 42nd minute of play. Augusto Demaria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tana Rede, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Granadero10 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tormenta EC were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Magno Garcia made the kick off in the second half. The Granadero10 fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Granadero10's Tana Rede looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tana Rede might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Demaria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tana Rede ran back to his position shaking his head. Tana Rede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vítor Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Demaria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tana Rede's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tormenta EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vítor Antunes was slow to take the kick. During this time Granadero10's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Tana Rede's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Demaria was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Granadero10's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
