Moise Stoicu's late challenge caught a Rio Arinos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moise Stoicu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cambaratiba's Moise Stoicu got a free kick in the 17th minute. Stanislaw Lichucki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cambaratiba's Stanislaw Lichucki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Cambaratiba from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute Wellington Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kęstutis Raziulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wellington Paraíba in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kęstutis Raziulis saved Rio Arinos from getting behind. In the 35th minute Wellington Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kęstutis Raziulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Wellington Paraíba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kęstutis Raziulis. Rio Arinos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wellington Paraíba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Cambaratiba's Stanislaw Lichucki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Paiva in the 44th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Cambaratiba:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rio Arinos:s goal. Stanislaw Lichucki had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Vítor Dracena's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Vítor Dracena took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stanislaw Lichucki. Stanislaw Lichucki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After the first half Cambaratiba were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Stanislaw Lichucki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toro Grana in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Cambaratiba getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Wilson Neiva hit a great ball. After 59 minutes of play, Rio Arinos's Toro Grana made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanislaw Lichucki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rio Arinos were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Cambaratiba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vítor Dracena took the corner. Rio Arinos's Yavuz Hagi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stanislaw Lichucki in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Cambaratiba defense, Yavuz Hagi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanislaw Lichucki. The Cambaratiba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanislaw Lichucki should have stopped the shot. Kęstutis Raziulis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wellington Paraíba's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Stanislaw Lichucki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toro Grana in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Rio Arinos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toro Grana to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Rio Arinos were awarded a corner. Vítor Dracena went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Vítor Dracena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stanislaw Lichucki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Rio Arinos booed when Cambaratiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moise Stoicu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
