The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. João Augusto Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Basaik, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Lubomír Meszároš recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Augusto Soeiro. Lubomír Meszároš showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Lars Batzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Quirino in the 34th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, João Augusto Soeiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Romildo Binder got free in front of the goal in the 37th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. João Augusto Soeiro was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 40th minute Rodrigo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Batzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Porvir FC were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after MALAIA FDFDF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evandro Penha took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Lubomír Meszároš managed to get in a good position for a shot. MALAIA FDFDF's supporters rose to their feet, but Lubomír Meszároš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Augusto Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Augusto Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romildo Binder in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lubomír Meszároš was the one to do the kick off. MALAIA FDFDF's Lars Batzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Quirino in the 51st minute of play. When Mazinho Correia fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MALAIA FDFDF's protests and gave Mazinho Correia a yellow card for diving instead. Evandro Penha hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Edgar Tasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porvir FC's João Augusto Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Tasso in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Augusto Soeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When MALAIA FDFDF's Edgar Tasso, in the 64th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for MALAIA FDFDF. Romildo Binder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gino Moreira got free with Lars Batzer in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 69 played minutes MALAIA FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Lopez. Gino Moreira in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lars Batzer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Porvir FC booed when MALAIA FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Romildo Binder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. João Augusto Soeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Lars Batzer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gino Moreira got free with Lars Batzer in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MALAIA FDFDF's Lars Batzer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save MALAIA FDFDF from getting a goal against them. Lars Batzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romildo Binder took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Augusto Soeiro. João Augusto Soeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Porvir FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MALAIA FDFDF.
