The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Hoffmann in the 4th minute of play forced América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Nestor Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Hoffmann in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of América-SC F.C. booed when Barbieri Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boruc Sokolski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Breno Vergílio came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by América-SC F.C.'s Gabi Gol. But to his dismay, Gabi Gol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, América-SC F.C.'s Gabi Gol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Breno Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 29 minutes in the game Bebeto Severo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Boruc Sokolski. 30 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when José Augusto Hoffmann came free, but Nestor Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barbieri Sports's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjamin da Mata in the 31st minute. José Augusto Hoffmann's late challenge caught a América-SC F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Augusto Hoffmann helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Barbieri Sports getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. José Augusto Hoffmann hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabi Gol to strike the kick off in the second half. Bebeto Severo got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Boruc Sokolski. Barbieri Sports's José Augusto Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin da Mata in the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Barbieri Sports got a corner. América-SC F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nestor Quirino made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Benjamin da Mata sent off a good shot on target. Benjamin da Mata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Quirino having to make a save. América-SC F.C.'s Alfredo Secco was substituted for Eliézer Azevedo. 73 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin da Mata came free, but Nestor Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Benjamin da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. América-SC F.C. made a substitution. Kobe Haaland replaced Gabi Gol. After a rather tough play, Barbieri Sports's Raphael Alvarenga got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 82nd minute Kobe Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Vergílio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kobe Haaland went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Nestor Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Sokolski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The América-SC F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Quirino should have stopped the shot. América-SC F.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
