Carlisle Schultz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Félix in the 20th minute of the match. Gino Moreira did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Carlisle Schultz 22 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Porvir FC's zone, Osvaldo Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Soeiro came out of the goal and Osvaldo Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute of the match, Rodrigo Quirino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlisle Schultz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porvir FC's goalkeeper João Augusto Soeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ingemar Kilman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Augusto Soeiro was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Quirino in the 34th minute of play forced Fluminense DF's goalkeeper Carlisle Schultz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Augusto Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Gino Moreira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carlisle Schultz, passed just outside the right post. In the 44th minute of the game William Martins made a throw-in which Rodrigo Quirino played forward. 47 minutes into the match, Fluminense DF's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Quirino came free, but Carlisle Schultz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Porvir FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fluminense DF were winning 1-2.

The supporters of Fluminense DF booed when Porvir FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Augusto Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Kilman in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Rodrigo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Schultz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Porvir FC's goalkeeper João Augusto Soeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Furlan. After 64 played minutes Fluminense DF got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Hopgood. Gino Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlisle Schultz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Ingemar Kilman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porvir FC's João Augusto Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlisle Schultz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fluminense DF's Emílio Pimenta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by William Martins, made in the 85th minute of the game. 87 minutes into the match, Fluminense DF's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Quirino came free, but Carlisle Schultz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Augusto Soeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prudencio Goiz's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Moreira in the 92nd minute of play forced Fluminense DF's goalkeeper Carlisle Schultz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fluminense DF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
