Porvir FC's Rodrigo Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Porvir FC's Rodrigo Quirino was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 6th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Thomas Ravelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Moreira in the 13th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Porvir FC's Fábio Félix ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thomas Ravelli. Thomas Ravelli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, GLADIADORES's Wilson Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Augusto Soeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Augusto Soeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilson Andrade went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Wilson Andrade scored 2-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Augusto Soeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. GLADIADORES's Thomas Ravelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Quirino in the 40th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilson Andrade made a kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porvir FC's goalkeeper João Augusto Soeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 56 minutes Porvir FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Johannes Stein who took care of the corner kick. GLADIADORES's Johannes Stein was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but João Augusto Soeiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 60 minutes into the match, Porvir FC's Gino Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Ravelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Porvir FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rodrigo Quirino in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Rodrigo Quirino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thomas Ravelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The GLADIADORES fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when GLADIADORES's Wilson Andrade looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. João Augusto Soeiro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 2-5. 77 minutes into the match, GLADIADORES's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Moreira came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anacleto Rozarius blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Augusto Soeiro having to make a save. After 84 played minutes Porvir FC got a freekick which was hit by William Martins. The supporters of Porvir FC booed when GLADIADORES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walery Koprowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Fábio Félix suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 90 minutes into the game, Walery Koprowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GLADIADORES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porvir FC the free kick. The GLADIADORES supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GLADIADORES would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
