A.C.Mandala's Su Xiang Chuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 3rd minute of play. Luiz Paulo Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Leão in the 5th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, 詹俊 á Bø cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Su Xiang Chuan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that 詹俊 á Bø's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Su Xiang Chuan was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, 詹俊 á Bø put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Su Xiang Chuan. In the 17th minute 詹俊 á Bø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Su Xiang Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Paulo Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Gustavsson in the 30th minute of play. 詹俊 á Bø's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Su Xiang Chuan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Maroto came free, but Luiz Paulo Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Maranhense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Victorino Modestio in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Wellington Phoenix's Sandro Trigo. Su Xiang Chuan came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Wellington Phoenix's 詹俊 á Bø. But to his dismay, 詹俊 á Bø quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 57 minutes into the match, A.C.Mandala's goal looked a bit too open when 詹俊 á Bø came free, but Su Xiang Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Babylon in the 62nd minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Phoenix's Murillo Rodrigues was substituted for Sandro Trigo. Wellington Phoenix's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Johnny Babylon scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Paulo Mazza, making the score, 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Wellington Phoenix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellington Phoenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Wellington Phoenix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Su Xiang Chuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Paulo Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 75th minute of play forced A.C.Mandala's goalkeeper Su Xiang Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, 詹俊 á Bø ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Su Xiang Chuan was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Luiz Paulo Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Babylon, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Wellington Phoenix were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after A.C.Mandala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tadeu Zonta took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tadeu Zonta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Su Xiang Chuan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, A.C.Mandala's Luisinho Penha got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C.Mandala's goalkeeper Su Xiang Chuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Wellington Phoenix had won after a very even match.
